Our Story

In 2016 I decided to abandon my professional career as a Manager in the automotive sector to dedicate myself to sailing and the sports that I practice with passion. I created Easysailing Portugal, taking advantage of already having the Wahoo, a 12m sailboat that I used for holidays.

I've been sailing since I was 8 years old, and on Wahoo, I've sailed more than 12,000 hours. In addition, I practice kitesurfing, surfing and wingfoil. Therefore, I decided that it would be interesting to share my experience and knowledge of the sea with my friends and clients, creating unique sailing experiences with active participation, and taking advantage of the beauty of Lisbon and its proximity to the sea.

Tagus River

Tagus River divides the Portuguese territory into two practically equal halves, ending its route bathing the city of Lisbon. The Tagus has its source in the Serra de Albarracín and ends up flowing into the Atlantic Ocean, making it the longest river in the entire Iberian Peninsula with around 1007km in length. From an early age, the Tagus River acquired a vital preponderance in Lusitanian lands, and it was no coincidence that Lisbon was chosen as the country's capital and economic center.

In the past, a large part of all commercial exchanges had nautical ports as their point of origin and departure, and thus, Lisbon, due to the good navigation conditions provided by the Tagus River, became notable as the epicenter of the country. But the importance of this River does not stop there. It was from there that the Portuguese navigators set out in search of glory and new lands, culminating in the well-known Age of Discoveries and elevating Portugal as one of the largest empires in the world. It was also the waters of this river that destroyed a large part of the city of Lisbon when the traumatic earthquake of 1755 occurred. From this river, you can see the entire city of Lisbon from a different perspective and in an unforgettable way.
